Longtime Lecturer and Head of Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic (now the University of the West of England) Alfred inspired generations of art students but, in addition to that, his paintings are admired and collected by artists and art lovers throughout the UK. His technique, in particular his use of colour and form, are truly exceptional producing paintings of intense atmosphere and poetry.
