Opening Times

Our renowned Licensed Café serves delicious lunches plus coffees, teas and snacks. Every Wednesday and Thursday we serve a mid-week seafood Special and every weekend we have a different Weekend Special.

Walkers, art lovers, diners, families and coffee drinkers, all are welcome!

Sladers Yard Licensed Café is open every day 10 am – 4 pm.  Weekends and sunny days we may stay open later.

To reserve a table please call 01308 459511. For large bookings, special menus are available. We open in the evenings only when we have events or private parties.

Sladers Yard Gallery is open Monday to Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.

Sundays and Bank Holidays 12 noon – 4 pm.

If in doubt please phone 01308 459511. Entry is free apart from live evening events and private parties which are by ticket or invitation only.  During rehanging weeks between exhibitions the first-floor Rope Gallery will be closed from Monday to Friday. The Cafe will stay open.


Christmas Eve Thursday 24 December Gallery open 10am – 1pm. Café open 10am – 2pm. Lunch bookings are welcome.

Christmas Day Friday 25 December Gallery and Café CLOSED

Boxing Day Saturday 26 December Gallery 2 – 4pm. Café open 10am – 5pm.

Sunday 27 December Gallery 12 – 4pm. Café open 10am – 5pm.

Bank Holiday Monday 28 December Gallery 12 – 4pm. Café 10am – 5pm.

Tuesday 29 December Gallery 10 am – 4pm. Café 10 am – 5pm.

Wednesday 30 December Gallery 10 am – 4pm. Café 10 am – 5pm.

New Year’s Eve Thursday 31 December Gallery 10 am – 1pm. Café 10 am – 2pm.

New Year’s Day Friday 1 January 2016 Gallery 2pm – 4pm. Café 10 am – 5pm.

Saturday 2 January Gallery 10 am – 4pm. Café 10 am – 5pm.

Sunday 3 January Gallery 12 – 4pm. Café 10 am – 5pm. And so on as usual…
