A fascinating discussion of abstraction in landscape art, how Martyn Brewster uses colour and tone as emotional vehicles – and more recently his emphasis on more neutral colours – and the evocative, suggestive, creative process of making his art. The eloquent Modern Craft Professor Simon Olding has written a book about Martyn’s work.  This will be a discussion between deeply committed artist and art historian, who are friends and colleagues, talking with a level of knowledge and understanding of each others’ work and ideas built up over many years. 2011 portraits 023Pam Zinnemann-Hope reads her latest poems to launch her new collection Foothold. Pam is a prize-winning poet, children’s author and playwright. Her poems have been published in many pamphlets, anthologies and magazines and she has been a poetry reader on BBC Radio 3.

On Cigarette Papers, Pam Zinnemann-Hope’s first collection, was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Centre Prize & adapted by her for The Afternoon Play on BBC Radio 4, in which she also acted, alongside Eleanor Bron, Greg Wise, Emma Fielding et al. More…
