Philippa Mo

In Concert No. 2 of her series Partita, Fantasia, Caprice,  Philippa explores a range of early music from the profound Guardian Angel Passacaglia from Biber’s 1678 Mystery Sonatas,  past two more energetic Fantasias by Telemann towards Bach’s first Partita in B minor, where every dance movement is answered by a ‘double’ or a variation. The wild and fantastical Sonata by Naji Hakim hauls us into a contemporary Middle-Eastern sound world and a short work by the award winning Errollyn Wallen For Airi  refers to the flight of the condor via Peru and Simon and Garfunkel… all in the ever inspiring space at Sladers Yard Gallery.
