Part-time Chef / Cook
We are looking for someone who loves to cook and present beautiful freshly made seafood, vegetarian, vegan and some meat dishes for lunch and occasional dinners. All our food is made in-house from carefully and ethically sourced high quality ingredients. The menu specialises in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern recipes as well as local specialities. The job involves baking cakes and puddings as well as cooking, preparing and plating up the lunch menu.
Café Sladers is part of Sladers Yard art gallery and everything is done beautifully to look and taste great and make the customers feel welcome and relaxed. We are a small team and once up to speed you will need to be able to do every aspect of the job from washing up and clearing to making coffees but your main role will be in the kitchen supporting or job-sharing with Jackie our wonderful head chef. We have a great team of waitresses and waiters and kitchen staff to support you. Training is available as appropriate and creative ideas are welcomed. Ideally you would have experience in a commercial kitchen as we can get very busy and you will be a cheerful and friendly member of the team.

As there is a strong team here already, this job could be a support role where you come in when we need you and when we need cover for someone going away, or it could be more regular.
