George Tute

George Tute studied painting at the Royal Academy Schools and Illustration at the Royal College of Art. He taught at York School of Art and became Principle Lecturer and Director of Studies of Graphic Design at the West of England College of Art. A wood engraver and painter, he is an exhibiting member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, the RWA and the Society of Wood Engravers. Now in his eighties, he lives and works in Bristol.
Although George Tute has often been to Sladers Yard, usually with Alfred Stockham and David Inshaw, and is a good friend to the gallery, this is the first time he has shown his work here.
